Project Providence

Hello all!  So recently, my husband deployed.  Again.  This makes #6 in his 14 years in the Navy.  A while back he told me that on his last deployment, some of the guys went the entire deployment without even so much as a letter from home.  It's really bothered me.  And as a result, I am determined to change that this time around.  I am determined to make sure every sailor gets a care package.  I want them all to know that we care about what they do.  That their sacrifices don't go unnoticed.  That we are thankful for everything they endure to keep us safe here at home.

I've created something called Project Providence on Facebook for this very reason.  Our goal is to raise $4000 to make a care package for every sailor.  We want to purchase a thermal lunch tote for each crew member, and fill it with goodies and letters from home.  However, it's an incredibly large crew, and we can't do it without the help of friends, family, and fellow readers.  If you'd like more information on how you can help support our sailors and let them know they are appreciated, please visit Project Providence on Facebook and request to join.

Thank you and much love!
